Multilocal has appointed Toby Doig to the newly created role of Vice President of Engineering, strengthening its technology leadership as the company continues to expand cureon®, its curation intelligence engine, and invest in the next generation of programmatic decision-making capabilities.
Toby will lead the engineering function and help shape the technology architecture underpinning Multilocal's growing portfolio of curation, audience intelligence and activation solutions.
Toby brings over two decades of experience in designing and building AI and machine learning-driven technologies, as well as implementing large-scale data infrastructure projects. These have been used to power contextual intelligence, audience activation, mobile experiences and programmatic decision-making across the AdTech ecosystem, working with companies including Vibrant Media, Captify, Mobkoi, and Turn.
As the advertising ecosystem becomes increasingly fragmented, Toby believes competitive advantage will come not from access to more data, but from the intelligence applied to it enabling faster decisions, better outcomes and greater efficiency.
"Toby understands that technology must simplify this complexity, not add to it, and this is also at the heart of Multilocal's vision," said Robin Bootle, Co-Founder & COO of Multilocal. "That’s why as we continue to invest in our curation engine, cureon, and expand our technology capabilities, his experience will be essential. Toby will play a leading role in helping us develop our intelligence capabilities so we can connect planning, activation and optimisation in ever more meaningful ways."
And for Toby, Multilocal’s philosophy aligns with his and the direction he sees the market must take.
"The industry has reached a point where intelligence matters more than access," he said. "The future belongs to organizations that can help companies navigate complexity, surface better opportunities, make more informed decisions and provide value to their businesses. That's what attracted me to Multilocal, and that’s what makes this next chapter so exciting."
